The College functions from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm on all working days except Govt. holidays.

Nursing assistant program a two year diploma course is offered since 2005. We have adopted the curriculum developed by ICRDCE Chennai. II year of the Diploma course is devoted for work experience at the Hospital.

Since its inception Gulbarga Community College is blessed with a Team of dedicated committed young qualified Teaching and Non Teaching faculty who are working for a noble cause.

All community colleges registered with IGNOU follow semester system. Admission is open twice a year January / July. Application for admission may be obtained from the college office in the month of December for January session and in the month of June for July session. Regular teaching classes are held. Attendance is compulsory. Continuous evaluation of students is done on the basis of students’ participation in classroom academic activities, such as assignments, presentations, Quiz, project work, monthly test, written/oral etc.

Semester term examinations are held in June for July session and December for January session. Final evaluation is done on the basis of marks scored at Internal and term end examinations at 40: 60 ratios.

Since the community college programmes are vocational and Job oriented, students get employment in the local economy. Hospitals, service centers, commercial undertakings, provide job opportunity to the skilled students. Thereby community colleges prevent distress migration of youth towards metropolitan cities in search of livelihood.




MoU with HHH (Head Held High) Foundation
Bengaluru - "Transforming Lives through capacity building"

August 2016 we have entered into an MoU with "Head Held High" Foundation Bengaluru to provide soft skill development Training to school dropouts boys and girls above the age of 15, who generally belonging to deprived sections of society both rural and urban. The idea is to make the school dropouts capable of dignity. It is not a quick fix but a 1000 hour programme run by HHH trainers. Self-employment opportunities and assisting students in higher education are the core objectives of this programme. This HHH Programme focuses on initiatives for poverty eradication through transformation, those that can scale and can be sustainable.

The core of "HHH" programme is transforming lives through capacity building. The students are trained in soft skills - English and English Speaking Skills, Computer Skills, Life Skills, Business Skills, Analytical Skills etc., and turned employable. It is a full time six months learning programme. Trainers are trained by "HHH" foundation and the course is offered free of cost to students.
